A new anti-aging ingredient in cosmetic
A new ingredient – tetrahydroxypropyl ethylendiamine that modifies physical properties of skin horny
scales, was tested on a control group, consisting of 41 women. A cream, containing 2.5% of tetrahydroxypropyl
ethylendiamine, was applied to only one side of the face while an inactive basis – placebo was applied to other side
of the face. The skin condition was evaluated prior to application of the cream, then in 45 minutes after the first application
and at last after 4 and 8 weeks. As a result, on the face side, coated with cream, containing tetrahydroxypropyl ethylendiamine,
one could see an immediate lifting effect in 8% of women. In this case in 40% of women the skin has got a healthy glow
due to the changes in the nature of light reflection. Besides the yellowness of the skin also decreased in 7%
of women. After 8 weeks of using the cream lifting effect is enhanced by 14%.
The ability of tetrahydroxypropyl
ethylendiamine to change the surface characteristics of the skin cells, creating an immediate and prolonged lifting effect,
makes this ingredient very promising in cosmetic anti-aging products.
